Join Nu|Garde art expert, Efren Olivares, for an engaging walking tour of 4 to 6 galleries in New York's Upper East Side. The tour will target some of the best current shows in the Upper East Side. Shows may include the unique opportunity to see John Chamberlain's rarely exhibited Masks. Best known for his abstract sculptures composed of metallic automobile parts, this exhibition provides the opportunity to view a series of steel masks that Chamberlain created in the 1990's. The tour may also include a visit to Three Dimensions: Modern and Contemporary Approaches to Relief and Sculpture featuring works by Joan Miro, Pablo Picasso, Claes Oldenburg, El Anatsui and other artists who have challenged usual standards of traditional three-dimensional art. You will be briefed on each artist, view and discuss key works with other art enthusiasts and have time to look a bit on your own in each gallery.
